France - Burzet (Ardeche). For generations the inhabitants of Burzet, a remote little village in Ardeche, in southeastern France, have reenacted annually the Passion of the Christ on Good Friday, following a tradition dating back to the 13th century. The spine crown used by a reenactor is on display in the 15th century church before the procession.
